Remembrance Day
In recognition of Remembrance Day on Monday 11th November, all students attended an assembly on Friday 8th November, with a guest speaker who talked about the importance of this date and the role the British Legion has as a charity in helping ex-service men and women. The philanthropic team have been selling poppies and students are invited to wear these to school this week. Wearing a poppy is a show of support for the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, veterans and their families. It represents all those who lost their lives on active service, from the beginning of the First World War right up to present day.
Students and staff will observe a 2-minute silence at 11:10am on Monday 11th November.
