World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day 10th October
To mark the occasion, we invited all staff and students to join us in wearing something yellow alongside their school uniform. While students were required to wear their regular uniform, they were encouraged to add a touch of yellow in the form of an accessory.
It was great to see so many students involved.
We raised a total of £150.85.
Afternoon Tea Event
On Thursday, 10th October, we held a sister-sister style gathering and afternoon tea event in celebration of World Mental Health Day. Years 12 and 13 students volunteered to host the event, providing a welcoming atmosphere for students from Years 7 to 11 who signed up to attend. Students had a great time engaging in activities such as bingo, mindfulness colouring, and biscuit decorating.
The event also provided a wonderful opportunity for attendees to discuss their hopes and dreams for the future while socialising and savouring the delicious afternoon tea. We were proud to take part in this event, reinforcing the importance of mental health awareness among young people. Our gathering aligned with the “Hello Yellow” mission, which encourages individuals to show their support for mental health by wearing yellow and spreading positivity, reminding everyone that it's okay to talk about mental health and seek help when needed. Together, we aim to create a supportive community where everyone feels valued and heard. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
